Gal Gadot Has This To Say To People Complaining About How Her Body Compares To Their Idea Of Wonder Woman

"What are you talking about here?"

This is Gal Gadot, aka Wonder Woman.

By now we've all seen her in action as the badass character, and it's fair to say the vast majority of people have had nothing but praise for her in this iconic role — which can be reflected in the $800 million in earnings it reached last weekend.

But in an interview with Rolling Stone that was revealed this week, she spoke out about body-shamers who insisted she wasn't curvy enough to play the part.

Gadot, who reportedly put on 17 pounds of muscle for the role, had a perfect response to those who criticised her, pointing out how ridiculous the complaints are when you think about the fact that she's bringing a comic book character to life. She said:

I told them, ‘Listen, if you want to be for real, then the Amazons, they had only one boob. Exactly one boob. So what are you talking about here? Me having small boobs and small ass? That will make all the difference.'

In the interview she also opened up about being pregnant with her second child during filming, and explained why she waited a while to tell her costars the news.

I didn't want attention. The default should be that women get the job done, but there's a long way to go and a lot of reprogramming that needs to be done to both genders.
