1. City Caphe

Tucked away between the skyscrapers of the City lies one of the longest lunch queues in London, and with good reason. The City Caphe (Vietnamese for Cafe). The eatery offers great value for money, variety and most importantly, punchy Vietnamese flavours. I would reccomend the Beef Spicy Lemongrass Noodle Soup and arriving after 2pm on weekdays to avoid the hungry crowd.

As Banh Mi, Vietnam's national sandwich, conquer the world, Keu can be attributed for its London success. Their bread is authentic and very close to what we have back home, light and crunchy. Their combinations range from the classic pork belly to the smokey aubergine, all equally delicious and worth your visit.

Banh Mi Bay ( which in Vietnamese translates to either flying baguette or baguette number seven, I have yet to clarify) serves a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes, one of my favourite being the Stir fried flat noodles with tofu. And if you live close enough to their locations, they also deliver, a very valid reason for moving to central London

4. Cafe East

Residents of Canada Water would have been saddened by the temporary closure of a loved establishment. Cafe East reminded me of meals I would have with my family, my favourite being the caramelised pork belly eaten with steamed rice. They also have one of the best Vietnamese desert selections in the city and I am sure many are waiting for their return

5. Cafe Mama Pho

A must go for anyone visiting Surrey Quays and needs to be fed. The Surrey Quays establishment serves up some of the best Pho I have tasted in London. Whats even better is their Banh Cuon, a delicious Southern concoction composed of rice noodles, minced meat and fish sauce. Yes, Yes, Yes.

6. Long Kee

No longer are you limited by what you know of Vietnamese cuisine. Long Kee is a small but authentic place where you can find a wide array of dishes. A must try is their honey barbecue pork and Sweet and Sour Fish soup, all at affordable prices.
