1. The Nameless (1999)

A series of weird clues leads Claudia to investigate a weird cult… but when things slot into place too easily, it seems like someone might be luring her into a trap.
2. Dead End (2003)
The Harrington family are driving home for Christmas when they decide to take a shortcut. Obviously, that turns out to be a bad idea. Picking up a mysterious hitchhiker is an even worse idea.
3. Uzumaki (2000)
Slowly, inexplicably, a small town is taken over by spirals. Some people become obsessed; others are killed, their bodies twisted into impossible positions. Uzumaki is a live action adaptation of the manga of the same name.
4. The Vanishing (1988)
Saskia and Rex are on holiday when Saskia suddenly, inexplicably, disappears. Rex dedicates his time trying to find her, but to no avail. He can’t move on, can’t live with the uncertainty, so when Saskia’s kidnapper reveals himself and offers to show Rex what happened to her, his curiosity wins out. The ending is very shocking.

A young man murders women, using a movie camera to film their dying expressions of terror.
6. Dolls (1987)
A group of people stop by a mansion during a storm and discover two magical toy makers, and their haunted collection of dolls.
7. [REC] (2007)
A television reporter and cameraman follow emergency workers into a dark apartment building and are quickly locked inside with something terrifying. The ending is very intense and upsetting.
8. The Gate (1987)
Three young children accidentally release a horde of nasty, pint-sized demons from a hole in a suburban backyard. Filled with surprisingly disturbing and freaky scenes and a bunch of jump scares.
9. The Devil’s Backbone (2001)
After Carlos, a 12-year-old whose father has died in the Spanish Civil War, arrives at an ominous boy’s orphanage he discovers the school is haunted and has many dark secrets that he must uncover. Creepily atmospheric and haunting, The Devil’s Backbone is both a potent ghost story and an intelligent political allegory.
10. Kill List (2011)
Nearly a year after a botched job, a hitman takes a new assignment with the promise of a big payoff for three killings. What starts off as an easy task soon unravels, sending the killer into the heart of darkness. Creepy, suspenful and very disturbing.
11. Felidae (1994)
After his owner relocates, the cat Francis is involved in a series of cat murders in the new neighborhood. Don’t let the animation fool you. This is a very scary and gory movie. Not for children or hardcore cat lovers.
12. The Mist (2007)
A freak storm unleashes a species of bloodthirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole up in a supermarket and fight for their lives. The ending is devastating .
13. The Company of Wolves (1984)
An adolescent girl dreams of a fairytale world inhabited by werewolves in this Gothic horror reinterpretation of the Red Hiding Hood story by Neil Jordan. Very weird and creepy movie. From the director of Interview with the Vampire.
It’s basically Aliens meets The Descent.
15. Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010)
Despite being under heavy sedation, Elena tries to make her way out of Arboria, a secluded, quasi-futuristic commune. The antagonist is very unsettling and the visuals make this flick a very surrealistic nightmare.
