    Movie Madness

A 17-year-old's hand at movie criticisim

I have loved movies since I before I was even 1 year old. My first movie was "The Mask Of Zorro." At the beginning of that film, there's loud music and explosions, and little 7 month-old me clapped at the end of that sequence and stayed quiet until the movie was over. When I was 8 I was inspired by Jeff Vice of the Deseret News, and Roger Ebert to be a film critic. I didn't always agree with them, but I loved their take on various films. When I was 15 years old I started a movie review blog of my own.

    mormonmovies.blogspot.com

The reason it's called that is because I'm Mormon, and we choose not to see R-rated films, so this is so no one expects me to review those. I use a grading scale similar to a public school. For example if I absolutely loved a movie (Lego Movie for example) I would give it an A+. If a movie was absolutely atrocious it gets an F+ (After Earth). If a movie gets a B or C, it was anywhere from 'I liked it, but wait for Blu-ray." or it was just "meh," (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Maleficent) I also grade on a scale of 0-10, (10 being highest) and 0-5 stars. (Again, 0 being lowest) I've been running it for over a year, and have over 60 reviews, so it's pretty legit. Look at it, comment, see what you think.
