If you're anything like me — aka in your (late) 20s and sad — you also spent this past weekend crying to the new Miley Cyrus song, "Used to Be Young," playing on a loop.
The ballad's music video has already garnered over 10 million views after only being released on Friday, but fans aren't the only ones feeling emotionally devastated yet musically blessed by Miley's newest banger. It turns out that mother herself, Adele, has also been streaming!
This video of Adele fangirling over Miley has been circulating on Twitter. While performing at her Las Vegas residency, the "Chasing Pavements" singer sent some love to Miley mid-concert. She said, "I am obsessed with Miley Cyrus's new song. Is anybody with me?" only to be met immediately with echoing applause in agreement.
"I've always been a big Miley Cyrus fan," she said. "I've got such a soft spot for nostalgia in that song. Might make me tear up now! I absolutely love her. I think it's amazing." This is high praise coming from Adele — the queen of the "coming of age" bop.
She said another emotional, "I absolutely love her," and punctuated her praise with, "She's a legend." Literally me defending Miley for the past 10 years to any soul who dared to speak against her in my presence. I will NOT be accepting any criticism of the 2013 VMAs.
This little shoutout was already such a sweet moment for anyone who stans both of these women, but then the vibes became even more heartwarming after Miley responded to Adele.
"I thought of you often while writing this song," Miley tweeted, "Always hoped that you would love it. This means the world to me. I love you. Mission accomplished."

This was SO cute. I love both of my moms. Since Miley was inspired by Adele when writing this song, then it brings me a ton of joy to imagine this could apply the other way, too. I'm just going to tell myself that Adele was bopping to Bangerz while writing "Easy on Me."
If anyone needs me, I'll be returning to my regularly scheduled sob to Miley's new song and wishing for "Used to Be Young" (Ft. Adele) to come into existence.
