The Drama That Is Marie Osmond Was A Screenplay Waiting To Be Adapted

The life of entertainer Marie Osmond just may be made into a television movie!

Marie Osmond fans are excited that a TV movie may be in the works about her life. The movie, taken from the recently released book "The Life and Career of Marie Osmond" by celebrity biographer Randy Jernigan, will touch on some of the more tragic happenings in the stars life including her abusive second marriage and the death by suicide of her 18 year old son, Michael. When questioned this morning about the possible TV project by a Los Angeles radio station, Jernigan shied away from the subject but did admit to completing a draft of a screenplay taken from his book, "I really can't say too much about the project yet. I'll be honest and tell you, I have completed a first draft of a screenplay. I've always thought that Marie's life was a screenplay just waiting to be written and adapted. The woman's been through so much adversity--she can teach a lot of us about courage to face the next day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed," said Jernigan.According to Jernigan's agent, Terry Griffen, the screenplay captures the dark side of the entertainment icons life but will be a source of inspiration for other women caught up in the same web of pain."Randy out does himself again, creating a script that surpasses anything he's written before," says Griffen. The book, The Life and Career of Marie Osmond, was published in July of this year and was an instant best seller as soon as it hit the market.I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping that this movie comes to the small screen--sounds like it will be a real winner!
