19 Products That Are So Good, I Refuse To Run Out Of Them

I just can't live without them!

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. This tube of rich moisturizer by Embryolisse that your dry skin will soak up like a sponge. It’ll soothe irritated skin so you can use it after shaving — and it can double as a primer or face mask, too.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

I keep coming back to this moisturizer because it's just so good. It has a rich, creamy texture without feeling thick or greasy and it's so gentle that it's the one of the only products I use when my skin is freaking out. I also love how multipurpose this product is. I can use a dollop for my daily moisturizer or use a bit more as a sleeping face mask before bed. Plus, it's so hydrating and makes my skin so plump and smooth that I can skip my primer before I apply makeup. I honestly refuse to run out of this product because I don't know what my skin would do without it.

Get it from Skinstore or $22.88.

    2. A bottle of plant-based laundry soap, if you just want to wash a couple of things and don't have enough clothing to do a full load. It's perfect for the clothes you don't want to put in the washing machine for fear of shrinking or getting damaged like sweaters and lingerie.

I use this all the time to wash my favourite sweaters and other delicate garments I don't like putting in the washing machine. I also like using it to quickly clean a bra or pair of underwear. I just add a capful of soap to a basin of water and let the garments soak for 15 minutes. And I've even started using it to wash my cloth face masks at the end of the day. I love how light the scent is. I have it in fig, but it also comes in unscented, if you're not into fragrances. Plus, it's a no-rinse formula so I'm using less water.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $20. Available in six scents.

    3. This multipurpose balm by Hello Bello that'll help treat your skin issues (like dryness and irritation). It's a plant-based formula that's packed with shea butter, tamanu oil, and chamomile, making it safe to use on your sensitive skin, too.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

This balm is a go-to in my house, because literally everyone can use it. It’s gentle enough to use on the little ones when they have irritation, and it’s so moisturizing that I love using on the driest parts of my bod (read: my tootsies).

Get it from Indigo for $8.99.

    4. This lip balm by Softlips that'll transport you to the tropics with its juicy watermelon scent. It's packed with vitamin E and squalane oil to hydrate your pout, and contains SPF 20 to protect your lips from sun damage.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

It's funny to think that I apply sunscreen every day, but never think about protecting the skin on my lips, which is a lot thinner and more sensitive. I keep this lip balm in my coat pocket so I never leave the house without it. I love how light it feels on my lips. It sinks right into my skin and leaves a slightly shiny finish behind. Also, the watermelon scent is delicious.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $2.99+. Available in three scents.

    5. This pocket-sized bottle of hand sanitizer that won't dry your hands out every time you use it. It comes out as a fine mist so your digits won't be soaking wet, and it'll leave behind the light and soothing scent of lavender.

    @touchland / Via, Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

Now that hand sanitizer is something I never leave the house without, I wanted to stock up on a few travel-sized bottles. I really liked this one because it solved some of the issues I had with using other hand sanitizers. First, it's a fine mist so it doesn't make my hands super wet before drying down. It also has a light lavender scent, which is downright heavenly compared to the strong chemical smells from other hand sanitizers. My hands don't feel Sahara Desert dry after using it and it comes in this really sleek bottle that's small enough to fit in my pocket. It's a perfect ten out of ten.

Get it from Indigo for $18. Available in eight scents.

    6. These plant stakes with sticky tabs on them to trap those pesky insects. They'll catch everything from fruit flies and midges to aphids and gnats. Plus, they're a great way to protect your plant babies from bugs without using pesticides.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

I'm an amateur plant mom, and I have to say dealing with insects is my least favourite part. Thankfully, I've only had to deal with fruit flies and these sticky stakes have caught most of them within a couple days of using them. They're super easy to set up and you can attach multiple stakes together to make them extra tall, if you have a larger plant. I will definitely be restocking these, because they're actual life savers.

    7. These hand masks by Patchology that'll return some much-needed moisture to your dry skin. They're lined with a coconut-infused serum that'll soften and hydrate your skin, and they'll use your natural body heat to create warmth so the oils penetrate deep into your dermis.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

My hands have been really dry lately so I decided to treat myself to a hand mask. The gloves feel a little cold at first, but the sticker tabs at the wrists help seal the ends. And once they’re sealed, the heat from your hands make the mask super warm and help the serum sink deeper into your skin. I left them on for about 15 minutes and my hands were so soft afterward.

Get it from SkinStore for $14.30.

    8. A pack of Clorox cleaning wipes that'll disinfect any surface in seconds. The wipes are gentle enough that you can use them on your devices and they come in a travel-sized package so you can easily fit them it in your bag for emergencies.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

These wipes are just so handy. The package is small enough that I can keep one in my bag without it taking up too much space. And I'll keep another one in the car to wipe down door handles or shopping carts before I enter the grocery store. I like that they don't have a strong chemical smell and they're not drenched in liquid so I can use them on my phone or other devices, too.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $1.97.

    9. This tube of Caudalie hand cream that'll save your hands from drying out like the Sahara Desert. It's made with grape seed oil, shea butter, and avocado extract to soften, protect, and moisturize your dry hands and cuticles.

A person's hand holding a tube of hand cream
    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

I've been washing my hands a lot recently (AS WE ALL SHOULD BE) and it was starting to take a toll on my skin. My hands were so dry and the skin felt really tight immediately after washing. So I started using some Caudalie hand cream, and it's become the second step in my hand-washing routine. The texture is light and it absorbs really quickly, without leaving behind a sticky or greasy feeling. And it has a warm citrus scent that I find very subtle and soothing. My hands look and feel moisturized and soft, and I'll definitely be restocking once I finish the tube.

Get it from Sephora Canada for $12+. Available in two sizes.

    10. This exfoliating face peel by The Body Shop that'll gently remove dead skin cells from your face without irritating it. Reviewers like using this as an alternative to physical exfoliants, which can be a little rougher on skin.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

I try to exfoliate my skin a couple times a week and this peel is the easiest and gentlest way to do it. I just rub it onto my skin in circular motions and watch as it lifts all the dead skin from my face. It takes less than a minute to work and my skin feels so smooth afterwards. It’s kind of gross and also really satisfying to watch. I've been using it for a couple years now and it's completely changed the texture of my skin.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $24.74.

    11. This bottle of Biossance facial oil that'll give you a dewy summer glow all year long. It'll sink into your skin quickly so even people with oily skin (it me) can use it every day without feeling greasy.

    @biossance / Via, Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

I used to think my oily combination skin would become more greasy if I used a facial oil, but I've learned the opposite is true. My skin loves this stuff. It gives me this beautiful glow and locks in my moisturizer so I don't feel like I have to bathe my skin in face mist throughout the day. The drier parts of my face (my forehead and chin) are significantly smoother and flake free. It's become a staple in my beauty routine, because I actually notice a different on the days I don't use it.

Get it from Sephora Canada for $95.

    12. This Mr. Clean Magic Eraser that'll actually remove all the stains you've been trying to get rid of for months. All it takes is a bit of water and a couple swipes to clean permanent marker, crayon stains, and scuff marks from all the surfaces in your home.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

I live with two small children and, as a result, I'm constantly cleaning up after them. These magic erasers are a true blessing. Instead of scrubbing away stains with a bucket and cloth like Cinderella, I can quickly and effectively remove whatever mysterious marks and stains I find on tables, walls, and other surfaces in seconds. Like this beautiful crayon mural, for instance. It took less than a minute to clean up, and all it took was a little water and elbow grease.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $1.49.

    13. This exfoliating scrub by Head & Shoulders that'll help you get rid of all the dead skin and grime building up on your scalp. It's loaded with vitamin E and argan oil to help hydrate your scalp and hair, making it a great product for anyone with super-dry hair.

A person holding two small tubes of scalp scrub
    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

It's a pre-shampoo product so I just massage it into my scalp before I get into the shower. It looks like a creamy conditioner, but it actually has a slightly gritty texture once you warm up the product (don't worry, it washes away easily with water). I've been using it for a few months now and it really works wonders on my dry scalp. I like that it doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped, which has been my experience using other scrubs. I use it about once a month to give my hair and scalp a really good deep clean.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $7.99.

    14. This Dove body wash that can also double as a shaving cream so you can cleanse and shave your body in half the time. Plus, it's made with hydrating oils like coconut, rose, and argan that'll add moisture to your skin, instead of stripping it away.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

I've low-key been using my body wash as shaving cream for years so I was really happy to find a product that is meant to be used as both. It just makes sense! Dove body wash is one of my go-tos, and this mousse is just as creamy and moisturizing as the regular body wash. Instead of spreading a palm's worth of body wash over my legs before I shave, I can just shake and dispense this lightweight foam straight onto my body. It's not as thick so my razor can glide over my skin, leaving it soft, smooth, and hydrated. I've tried both coconut and rose and loved both scents

Get it from Amazon Canada for $11.99. Available in two scents.

    15. A can of oven cleaner that'll dissolve all the grease stains and dried food residue lining the walls of your oven, broiler, or barbecue. Now you won't have to spend hours scrubbing away at your appliances to get them clean.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

This oven cleaner is magic in a can. It says you only have to leave it for a couple hours to get the best results, but I kind of forgot about it and didn’t remember until the next morning. But, boy did it work! All the grease and grime came off with a damp cloth and a flick of the wrist. It took me about five minutes to wipe down the entire oven, and as you can see, the results are impressive.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $4.61.

    16. A Swiffer duster that'll help you reach every dust bunny in your house. It's made with coated fibres that'll stick to dust and hold on for dear life.

    Amazon / Via, Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

The handle comes with two dusters. You can pick up a box of refills here.

It's so much easier to get those awkward or hard-to-reach spots like the fan or ceiling, and the fluffy fibres actually trap dust and dirt on contact so I don't have to worry about it falling on the floor (or in my hair) while I'm cleaning. One duster can clean up multiple rooms in my house and then I just toss it in the trash when I'm done.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $4.98.

    17. This strawberry-scented lip balm by Softlips that'll react to the PH level of your skin and tint your kisser a unique shade of pink. It's packed with argan oil and beeswax, making it super hydrating.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

I'm a huge fan of lipstick, but lately I've been skipping a bold lip in favour of a hydrating lip balm or gloss. This lip balm has been my go-to because it not only moisturizes my lips, but leaves a slightly glossy finish and subtle stain on my lips. Don't get me wrong, I have to reapply throughout the day, just like a regular lip balm. I just love how easy it is to create the perfect shade of pink for my lips — just swipe and go. It looks natural and makes me feel less like a corpse on the days I don't want to wear a full face of makeup.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $4.99.

    18. This Essie nail polish that'll apply like a dream and dry in just 60 seconds. You'll only need two coats to get full coverage and there are a ton of colours to choose from.

    Amazon / Via, Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

They come in so many different shades and it's so affordable, I usually buy two or three at a time. I'm currently loving this minty green colour (called "Express to Impress") from the Expressie nail collection. The shade is bright, fresh, and very calming. And it only takes about a minute for the nail polish to dry so I don't have to spend a lot of time drying my nails between and after coats.

Check out BuzzFeed's full review of the Expressie nail polish (#7 on the list!).

Get it from Amazon Canada for $7.98+. Available in 38 colours.

    19. And finally, this Garnier sheet mask that'll keep your skin hydrated as heck, because it's packed with half a bottle of serum. It's also incredibly gentle so it can be used on almost all skin types.

    @garniercan / Via, Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

The mask contains hyaluronic acid, which is an impressive molecule that can hold 1,000 times its weight in water.

I have oily/combination skin so my cheeks and chin tend to be drier than the T-zone. Even after I remove the mask, there is so much product left on my skin and in the package that I use it the excess serum on my neck. I can immediately see brighter, smoother, and more hydrated skin after just 15 minutes on my face.

Get it from Amazon Canada for $2.98.
