When Your Friendship Is EXACTLY Like The One On TV

We all know what I’m talking about. From Parks and Rec to Gilmore girls, we all have a tv show that has a friendship that is the literal definition of your own friendship. So you watch the show together and rant over how much your personalities align with your characters. “YOU ARE leslie knope. SHE IS YOU.” This is what it’s like when your friendship in real life is just like the one on TV:

    1. You’ve heard all about this new TV show. All your friends are tweeting about how amazing it is. So one day when all your other favorite shows have ended and you have nothing better to do, you give in and you watch it.

    2. You’re enjoying it enough, but then something happens. A character says something that is totally you.

    3. So you get really into it, and it becomes a binge watching session.

    4. And then something even more amazing happens. You realize your character, the one that is you, has a best friend. And that best friend is exactly like your best friend.

    5. So of course, you immediately tell your best friend to watch it. And you text her all the things about her character that prove they are the same person.

    6. And you constantly post anything from the show that involves your characters on their timeline saying “this is us!!”

    7. Your Facebook friends start to hate you, because now they know everything about this show just from seeing all your posts.

8, But you don’t care, you want everyone to know how awesome and special your friendship is.

    9. You use quotes from the show to tell your best friend how much they mean to you.

    10. And when your bestie is feeling bad about herself, you remind her that her character is great, therefore she is great too.

    11. On holidays, you use quotes from your show to spread the cheer.

    12. And when you miss each other because you’re away at school, your show keeps you feeling close.

    13. When you’re giving each other advice you think “what would my character say?”

    14. You love it so much, you’d rather stay home and watch your show together than go out.

    15. In the end, the show reminds you just how much you love your best friend. And that’s why you love it so much.
