I own too many jackets; it's just a fact. I don't wear fur or leather for ethical reasons, so I specifically own a lot of faux leather jackets. Purple is my favorite color, so yes, I own a few purple jackets. But let me tell you, I ordered this baby right after I saw it anyway, closet space be damned. It's such a rich, pigmented, unusual shade of purple (not eggplant, not lilac, but IN-YOUR-FACE-BRIGHT purple) that I couldn't pass it up. These are definitely thicker moto jackets, which means they're not like lighter faux leather jackets I have that I can almost toss on like a sweatshirt. No, these are definitely made to be part of a more put-together look, but they are great for it. The length is excellent, because it's cropped enough I could see it working with skirts or dresses, but not so cropped that it looks awkward with jeans.
