No body puts Baby in the corner. But in 1988, CBS sure did try with a short lived series based on the film. It was cancelled after 11 episodes.

Almost 30 years later, ABC is working on an upcoming TV special with Abigail Breslin starring as Baby.

First Wives Club

TV Land is putting a fresh twist on Paramount’s iconic 1996 film, First Wives Club. The series will take place in modern day San Francisco. The story revolves around three women – friends and classmates in the 90s – who reconnect after their close friend from college dies in a freak accident. When they discover that they are all at a romantic crossroads, they band together to tackle divorce, relationships and life’s other annoying challenges.

Scream: The TV Series

Adapted from the late Wes Craven and Kevin Willamson's iconic 1996 film SCREAM, MTV added a modern twist with the new "Scream" series.

Lethal Weapon

Coming to a TV near you, Fox is creating a new series based on the 1987 action film Lethal Weapon.

Fox’s “Lethal Weapon” will follow a Texas cop and former Navy SEAL Martin Riggs (to be played by Clayne Crawford)) who suffers the loss of his wife and baby and moves to Los Angeles to start anew. There, he gets partnered with LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans, Sr.), who, having recently suffered a “minor” heart attack, must avoid any stress in his life.

Uncle Buck

Based on the 1989 comedy Uncle Buck, the series, starring Mike Epps, is about a fun-loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. His brother and sister-in-law need some help around the house. And they just might be the answer to each other's problems.
