Which TV Character Was Perfectly Written Off Their Show?

I'm still grieving the loss of Michael Scott after all this time.

If it were up to me, all my favorite TV characters would exist forever. Unfortunately there are many reasons why TV writers might be faced with "writing off a character" during a series — anything from bad ratings to actors quitting or getting fired.

When done correctly, though, TV character exits can be beautiful, memorable, and even deep emotional experiences for viewers.

So we want to know which TV characters you think had the best exits from their shows!

Maybe you think The Office nailed it by giving Michael Scott his happy ending with Holly when he had to quit his job at Dunder Mifflin and move to Colorado to be with her.

Or you thought it was funny when Community sent Troy Barnes off to sail around the world with LeVar Burton on the "Childish Tycoon" in reference to Donald Glover leaving to pursue his music career using the stage name Childish Gambino.

Or perhaps you enjoyed seeing Cristina Yang give some crucial advice to Meredith Grey in Grey's Anatomy before she left Seattle for a job 3D printing organs in Switzerland.

Tell us how your favorite character was beautifully, tragically, or hilariously written off their TV show and your response could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post!
