21 Things That Inevitably Happen To You During Board Exams

    Unlimited number of prelims.

    1. Your teachers give you "important and expected questions" which comprise of every question in the textbook.

    2. There is a first prelim, a second prelim and a mock board exam and you wish the actual exam would come already.

    3. You calculate the time it'll take for you to finish the entire portion.

    4. But of course, the time allotted (and the expectations) reduce as the clock ticks.

    5. You find joy in (the only) retail therapy that your parents agree with: stationery shopping.

    6. You start putting important answers on your wall and before you know it, there is no wall left.

    7. You treasure your hall pass like it was studded with diamonds and a rare artifact that needed your utmost care.

    8. You spend significantly more time staring at your book and procrastinating than actually studying.

    9. You look outside your window at people playing Holi, heave a sigh and go back to your books.

    10. You also spent a lot of time giving yourself pep talk.

    11. But that's not where it ends. Everyone from your neighbors to your distant relatives calls you to wish you luck and also offer words of advice.

    12. The world becomes polite and full of empathy and you will have the "Stress. Board Exam. Forgive." pass.

    13. The teachers who you thought hated you stop being mean and you'll wonder if they woke up on the wrong of the bed.

    14. You will hear conflicting advice that will drive you nuts.

    15. Rumors of a paper getting leaked spread and they'll make you really, really angry.

    16. Which results into all leading newspaper claiming that there will be a re-exam for that subject.

    17. One of your street smart friend claims to have the leaked paper and gracefully shares the questions with everyone.

    18. Of course, you later find out during the exams that whoever gave them the information was messing with them.

    19. You will get frustrated and nervous and you will feel like Jon Snow.

    20. Your friends joke about burning all the books immediately after the last exam.

    21. But in the end, you know it'll all be worth it when you walk out of that last exam, high five your best friend, and say "WE'RE FUCKIN' DONE DUUUUUDE!"
