Apple Has Joined Taylor's Squad.

Guess there's no "bad blood" between Tay and Apple!

Let's all give Miss Swift a round of applause for getting the job done. For those of you that have not been on social media today or live under a rock with no wifi, Apple Music was going to do free 3 months of music streaming trials for users and during this time artist, writers, and producers would not be paid. Now for artist as big as Taylor those 3 months of not being paid would not make difference but to an up and coming artist, band, writer, or producer it makes a huge difference. T Swift also thought this and posted a strongly worded letter to Apple which can be found on her Tumblr and Twitter. In her letter she says "This is not about me. Thankfully I am on my fifth album and can support myself, my band, crew, and entire management team by playing live shows. This is about the new artist or band that has just released their first single and will not be paid for its success. This is about the young songwriter who just got his or her first cut and thought that the royalties from that would get them out of debt. This is about the producer who works tirelessly to innovate and create, just like the innovators and creators at Apple are pioneering in their field…but will not get paid for a quarter of a year’s worth of plays on his or her songs". Taylor's letter in no way ever says anything mean, she politely called Apple out on something they should not have even thought about doing. Several hours after Tay posted her letter on social media Apple announced that they would now be paying during those 3 months. I am not a huge fan of Taylor Swift but when I read her letter I completely agreed with her and I'm giving her the kudos she deserves. Way to slay Tay Tay.
