Pain As White As Snow
You sit inside
And stir your cocoa,
I scream forever at your wall
As bits of chipped forgiveness
Fall down.
Oh where are you
Solemn one
Without the book of guilt
Constantly recited
I need your influence
Do not leave me here stained
Among the naked
Among the lost.
How can you watch me
Scratch my fingernails in desperation
While you read lustful rags
On our sofa
How can you
Breathe sweet and clean
While I
Suffocate on
Leftover wet towels
and maybe some Tramadol
