Response to What If “Doctor Who” Was American?:
Someone has too much faith in American TV, especially old American TV. It likely would have been more like John Wayne, Lee Marvin, William Shatner, Clint Eastwood, Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stalone, Dwayne Johnson, Nicholas Cage and Vin Diesel. Also the sonic screwdriver would be a revolver, or an uzi. The Tardis would be red and shaped more like a racing car with lazer cannons, all of the companions would have been female and would have slept with the doctor and most episodes would have ended when the Doctor blew the bad guys up.
Response to 21 Reasons You Should Give Ben Affleck A Chance:
Ben Affleck is the anti-Batman. He’s good at playing the sensitive, funny boyfriend in romantic comedies and as the loyal best buddy in comedies but that’s about the extent of his range. Batman requires a combination of emotional depth, James Bond cool and physical intimidation. Affleck has none of those things (sensitive and funny isn’t really “depth”), he’s the kind of guy you grab beer and pizza with, not the guy you play cards with over martinis in Monte Carlo and he couldn’t be intimidating if you were standing in a swimming pool full of gasoline and he was holding a match. One of the worst casting decisions ever. They haven’t even started shooting yet and this movie is spiraling down the drain.
