Vencer Sarthe Is A V8 Powered Dutch Supercar
The car features a massive V8 block pumping 510 bhp; With minimalist electronics and functions, the car will be a limited edition production.
Fans of the iconic McLaren F1 are aplenty. Even as the car has celebrated as world’s fastest production car once, the world never saw its remake. That, until now. Rolling out from the Vencer automobile manufacturing company, this one is a Dutch. The Holland based company has officially revealed the Sarthe supercar after an extensive development phase.
Coming as a two-seater, unlike the three-seater McLaren, the Vencer Sarthe supercar is built around a tubular steel frame chassis with its floor built on an aluminum honeycomb structure. The car makes extensive use of carbon fiber in its exterior structure, sitting at just 1,390kg featuring a weight distribution of 45 percent front and 55 percent rear.
The company describes the supercar as inspired by the Lemans racers from the eighties. It measures 4.515 x 1.984 x 1.190 mm sitting at 2.79-meter-long wheelbase. The Vencer Sarthe comes with a double wishbone suspension setup with anti-roll bar, while the electronic safety assists include the ABS and EBD. Braking includes all four discs with 385mm rotors at the front and rear. Interior is elegant with hand-stitched leather sports seats, a full-fledge LCD screen, climate control and in-car entertainment.
Power comes from a mid-mounted GM-sourced V8 unit pumping 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque. Mated to the nuke equivalent power plant is a six-speed manual transmission, transmitting the power to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential. The front wheels feature 19-inch alloys while 20-inch alloys taking up the rear. This gives the car a dead to 100kmph time of 3.8 seconds, while it can hit speeds up to 326kmph.
Vencer plans to create limited edition of the Sarthe supercar. There is no word on the pricing, and by looking at the car, we’re certain it will turn some big heads.
