An Amputee Just Performed The Most Amazing Routine On A Dance Show

"The scariest thing for a dancer is for something to happen to your body."

Meet Evgeny Smirnov and his dance partner, Daria Smirnova, of Sochi, Russia.

In 2012, Evgeny was in a terrible motorcycle accident, and his right leg was amputated at the thigh. He thought he'd never dance again.

But despite the loss of his leg, Evgeny slowly started to practice. And earlier this month, he and Daria tried out for Russia's version of So You Think You Can Dance.

At first, judge Miguel is dismissive and skeptical.

But then this happened.

This judge is all of us rn.

Miguel was having feelings.

What even is this?

By the end of the performance the audience and the judges were up on their feet.

"I think every dancer I know is a strong person, but this is the scariest thing to overcome," Miguel told Smirnov. "But you show us that there is nothing we should fear in life. You have no idea how weak I feel right now."

And the other male judge said, "It seems you need a dance group, because I don't know if you realize this about yourself but...you are a modern hero, in strength, in dance. You can set an example for other people."

Did Evgeny get sent on to the next round of competition? YOU BET HE DID.
