This is Yara Shahidi, star of the TV show Black-ish.
So it's no surprise that such a phenomenal woman would get an absolutely phenomenal college recommendation letter — from former First Lady Michelle Obama.
“She is very amazing and such a supporter, which is something very surreal to say,” Shahidi told W magazine.
Shahidi just submitted all of her applications — to Harvard, among other schools — and is hoping to double major in African American studies and sociology.
First though, she plans on taking a gap year.
