Lauren Galley (Houston, TX)

At the young age of nineteen, Lauren Galley has used her passion of eradicating bullying to make a huge impact. She is not only a college honors student, but a bestselling author on Amazon, actress, model, and ambassador for Secret's Mean Stinks program. Galley is the founder of Girls Above Society, an incredible nonprofit organization empowering girls and women to pursue confidence, wellness, and resilience. In addition, Galley is a TEDx speaker, a contributor for the Huffington Post, and a columnist for Houston Family Magazine.

Kate Avino (Franklin Lakes, NJ)

On a rainy October night, Kate Avino was working on her AP Italian Language and Culture assignment, when an idea for a cultural magazine flooded her brain. Thus, Her Culture was launched; a dynamic blog and magazine giving people from all around the world a safe place to share their story. Since its beginnings over a year ago, Her Culture has been internationally recognized by Forbes, The Huffington Post, and a myriad of other sites. The writers of Her Culture come from every walk of life, from dreamers in California to visionaries in Indonesia. Kate is currently attending New York University (NYU) where she serves as the freshman class president, and is pursuing a degree in Mass Communications.

Sareana Kimia (Bethesda, MD)

It didn’t take long for Sareana Kimia to realize her passion for politics, and to become rigorously involved with local politics. As a VolunTEEN Nation Ambassador, Kimia coordinated a soda can tab collection drive in thirty-eight middle schools to encourage sustainable habits. Aside from coordinating events, she is a member of the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee. She is the founder of Youth for National Change, an organization that empowers teens to become involved in politics. Among her countless credits and awards, Kimia is the Youth Outreach Coordinator for Anthony G. Brown, and continues to thrive politically.

Pavlina Osta (Orlando, FL)

Pavlina Osta is a seventeen year old media personality. Since the age of eleven, Pavlina has interview hundreds of celebrities – from country music stars, to editors, to highly coveted athletes. Beyond her radio show, Osta is an IB student, talented ballet dancer, National Girl Scout Delegate, 2014 Disney Dreamer, and editor. Her book, “Talk to Me”, will be released shortly, detailing her transformation from an ordinary high school student to an elite celebrity journalist.

Niani Scott (Chicago, IL)

When thinking of women with ambition, Niani Scott is someone who should be on your list.

At the young age of sixteen, Niani has been awarded multiple accolades as an aspiring journalist. She’s won multiple poetry competitions, using her love of words to highlight social issues in her hometown of Chicago. Niani is a 2014 Disney Dreamer, where she became a recipient of the Steve Harvey Scholarship. Niani has also been featured on the Steve Harvey Morning Show, graduated from the Black Girls Rock Camp, and participated in several community service events. Currently, Niani is studying for ten months in South Africa, on behalf of the BP Citizens of Tomorrow Scholarship from AFS-USA.

Sanah Jivani (Spring, TX)

At the age of twelve, Sanah Jivani’s life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Alopecia. As her hair began to fall out, she was faced with an overwhelming sense of insecurity, anxiety, and disbelief. However, one day, as she looked in the mirror, she discovered her beautiful brown eyes, and began to feel better about herself. Thus, the idea for International Natural Day was founded.

International Natural Day is on Februrary 13th, because Jivani believes that you must be able to love yourself before you can love others. On this day, Jivani personally challenges men and women from throughout the world to embrace themselves. The project originally began at her local high school, but over time, it has grown to over twenty-eight countries.
