Lemonade is overrated.... hate to say it.
Hopefully, this isn't too controversial, but lemonade is good, but not great. If given the choice, I would rather have a soda, or a Shirley Temple, or something just... better. But still, it is a good summer-y drink.
Simple, yet yum! Corn on the cob is pretty good, with just some butter or cooked on the grill. But it can get annoying sometimes, getting stuck in the teeth and whatnot. And I have to admit... there are better summer foods out there.
Seafood in the summer is a must! From seafood boil to lobster roll, the deliciousness is endless. But, some people may not like seafood or are allergic or don't live near the ocean (so it might not be fresh)... so points down for that.
There are SO many possibilities with a pie! Summer is prime time for fresh produce and berries, so they'll be extra good. Plus, with a big scoop of ice cream or whipped cream on top, it's almost unbeatable! But, since pie doesn't always scream summer, it remains on the edge of the Top 5.
Ice cream on a hot summer day is a MUST! Not putting ice cream in the Top 3 may turn some heads, but still, ice cream and other cold sweet treats are some of the best, most iconic summer foods. Endless possibilities and they're a super accessible, easy option.
What beats simplicity? Three ingredients, but still so delicious. Plus, roasting marshmallows around the campfire while chatting with your friends and family is the perfect summer activity.
There's nothing like a summer BBQ! I'm talking a smoky burger and a snappy hot dog while hanging out with your friends and family. Plus, don't forget about all the amazing sides!
Ok, this may technically fall under the "summer fruits" category, but watermelon deserves this number one spot! Watermelon is the quintessential summer treat. A good watermelon just can't be beaten. It takes me right back to my young childhood years at a picnic or at the beach. Plus, it's healthy and delicious!
