5 Reasons Why Cosplay Is Underrated

Cosplayers have the misfortune of being labeled as "nerdy" and "antisocial" for their hobby. If you're still reading this, you're one step closer to fighting this stereotype.

1. Great way to meet people

Who could be better friends than two guys in Batman costumes, or two girls in Wonderwoman costumes? Going to conventions make it fun and simple for cosplayers to make new friends!

2. Highly social hobby

Having this hobby gives cosplayers a reason to get outside of house and socialize! So much better than sitting inside all day (unlike our friends from Friends above), I'd say.

3. Social norms don't exist

With everyone around you wearing an elaborate costume, there's no room for judgment (unless you want to brag about how much more awesome your costume is than someone else's)!

4. It's Halloween whenever you want

It's hard to beat Christmas, but Halloween is definitely one of everyone's favorite holidays and cosplayers get to enjoy it all the time.

5. World-renowned events

Attending conventions like Comic-Con give cosplayers a chance to meet their favorite actors, perhaps even their childhood idles!
