Thank you Mudhoney, while you had success in the 90's let me say without your amazing and revolutionary sounds and contributions, you would be the opening to the Seattle sound which came to be known as Grunge.

Honestly, this should be number 1 as they, along with Mudhoney set the foundation for the Seattle scene in the early 90's. In fact, had Andrew Wood not committed suicide before the release of the first and only album, there would have been no Temple of the Dog project nor Pearl Jam. Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament are former members of this band

    5. Temple of the Dog - Hunger Strike

Ask anyone what their favorite Pearl jam album is, and most will reply with " Ten ", why, because it was a masterfully created album by an amazing group of men.25 years later and the boys from Seattle are still amazing folks, young to old!

Here it is, the number 1 most influential band of the 90's. Love them or hate them, Nirvana set the precedent into what would become globally known as" Grunge ". Sure Kurt hated the spotlight and being famous, but when you have an album that sells 300,000 copies in a week, that has to account for something.

"Yeah I was happy about it. It was pretty cool. It was kind of neat. But I don't give a shit about some kind of achievement like that. It's cool—I guess." - Kris Novoselic, when asked about the album Nevermind going certified gold
