Here’s That “Seinfeld” Reunion That Everyone’s Been Waiting For

Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander got back down to the petty arguing that delighted us all in an episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.



2. Remember when Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander were spotted outside Tom’s Restaurant a few weeks ago?

That sighting — which Seinfeld later teased as a Seinfeld reunion —turned out to be the two former co-stars filming an episode of Seinfeld’s web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee essentially in character.

A short bit of it was used for a teaser commercial during the Super Bowl on Sunday night, which you can watch above. And (SPOILER ALERT) there’s a special guest who eventually joins them.




4. Here’s what Seinfeld told BuzzFeed about how the reunion came together:

Fox approached Larry [David] and me about doing some kind of Seinfeld reunion for the halftime broadcast because of the New York connection. So we thought throwing Jerry, George, and Newman into a Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee was a fun way to do it. Larry and I wrote the script in one sitting, just like old times, and working with him, Jason, and Wayne [Knight] was a total blast as it always was.
