So recently, I joined Tumblr...
But I noticed something that everyone on Tumblr seems to go crazy for.
It's called "Grunge".
Well, I first used what we all use to figure out what things are; Google.
Google states that "Grunge (sometimes referred to as the Seattle sound) is a subgenre of alternative rock that emerged during the mid-1980s in the American state of Washington, particularly in Seattle."
Well, that's nice and all, but WHAT IS WITH THE FASHION???
Grunge is officially my new obssession. Everything seems to derive from a 90's vibe.
Everything from the shoes to the attitude of grunge is pretty amazing.
How do you be "grunge"?
Well, according to wisegeek.org, grunge fashion is usually wearing clothes that don't match, are comfortable, have a lot of layering, and have a "thrift store vibe".
The Shirt:
The Pants:
The Shoes:
The Hair:
DON'T FORGET THE SUNGLASSES.
The Grunge Attitude/Personality:
This is when you get somewhat hipster; like things that are not mainstream, be a rebel, be alternative, etc.
Finish it off with whatever you please.
Hats, bracelets, etc. You do you boo.
Quick note: You can shop for these clothes at thrift store, vintage clothing stores, or wherever you feel comfortable with.
