6 THINGS EVERY KNICK FAN SHOULD DO BEFORE THE NBA DRAFT LOTTERY

The NBA Draft lottery is tomorrow Tuesday May 19th at 8:30PM. For Knick fans, getting a high pick and scooping up a franchise player will be the only thing that will make this legendarily horrible 2014-15 season worth it. Here are some things that you can do to bring good fortune to the orange and blue.

1. BUY A HORSESHOE

In 1985, the Knicks brought a horseshoe to the NBA draft lottery. That was also the year they claimed the first overall pick getting them Patrick Ewing. So Horseshoes = franchise player.

2. GO TO CHURCH, BEG GOD FOR A TOP 2 PICK

Nobody knows if praying really works. But we know that it can't hurt. If there is no god, then no harm no foul. But if there IS a god, and nobody begged him to give the knicks a top 2 pick, that could very well be on us. We will have to carry that burden until the next time the Knicks have a first round pick which is in 2017.

3. APOLOGIZE TO THOSE WHO YOU'VE WRONGED

Any bad voodoo or negative vibes against you or your soul carries bad luck and therefore might cost the Knicks a prime place in the NBA draft. The Knicks need somebody to pair with Carmelo and Tim Hardaway Jr. and they need that person NOW. Need I remind you that Carmelo is in his 30's. The Knicks can't afford to be stuck with a rotation player because you're can't put aside your pride. Apologize and let's laugh about this while watching the Knicks in the finals.

4. GIVE EVERY HOMELESS PERSON YOU SEE $50 DOLLARS

Karma, baby! KARMA! You have the money! Cheap seats for Knicks games are still running around $100. And the Knicks are paying Phil Jackson 60 Million so he can send good vibes through the Zen-verse. The least you can do is peel off some cash so we don't end up trading the pick for Rajon Rondo or something dumb like that. The Knicks have done dumber things!

5. DONT TALK ABOUT THE DRAFT LOTTERY

The last thing you want to do it jinx the Knicks in any way by saying "we got Okafor, I KNOW IT!" You don't know it and you sound dumb. But more importantly, the universe thinks it's fun to constantly send the Knicks bad ideas, bad executives, bad players, bad weather, and bad press. So any, and I mean ANY, chance the universe (maybe god?) has to screw the Knicks IT WILL TAKE. Be smart.

6. FIND A WAY TO RIG THE 2015 NBA DRAFT LOTTERY

It has been speculated that the 1985 draft (when the Knicks ended up with the #1 pick) was rigged. Find out what they did to rig it AND RIG IT! There is a ton of information online about how the Knicks used their big market sway to get then NBA commissioner David Stern to look the other way and let the Knicks nab the top pick. If it happened then IT CAN HAPPEN AGAIN!
