We get it, you're a busy college student. From class to meetings to group projects, you're probably thinking, "I don't have time for a job!" But if you have 10 free hours a week between 8am-5pm, you have time to work at CAP! You can schedule your hours around everything else going on in your life.

2. Add To Your Portfolio

Having any job is great because of the paychecks, but what makes this job especially great is that through your job, you'll create so many materials for your portfolio. From bold fliers to beautiful photos, the work samples you'll acquire throughout your time here will certainly impress potential employers. They won't even be able to handle how prepared and professional you'll be.

3. Work In A Friendly Environment

The atmosphere in the CAP office is so welcoming! The professional staff members and graduate assistants are super friendly; you know you'll always be greeted with smile and a "How are you doing?" whenever you come to work! (Also, sometimes there's free food in the office kitchen but you didn't hear that from us.)

4. Get the Inside Scoop on CAP Programs and Services

Since it'll be your job to let the JMU campus know about all the great programs, workshops, and resources CAP has to offer, you'll know so much about them. You'll never miss out on a resume writing or LinkedIn workshop again!

5. Make New Connections

You'll get to know some great people while working as part of CAP's media team. Not only do you get to know people who work in the office, but you'll make friends with other students on the team!
