Response to Hey, Former Nail-Biters, How Did You Quit?:
I stopped when I was 21 right before my wedding because I didn’t want to wear acrylics. It was sooo hard because it was a life-long habit, but that was enough motivation for me. Nothing else ever worked. I tried everything from that gross polish stuff to acrylic nails (I hated them and ended up chewing them off). I guess I just found something that mattered enough to me to make me want to stop. Almost 7 years later, I’m good, but I have to resist the urge sometimes like when I snag a nail and it becomes uneven.
