you don’t seem to be understanding what it means to be homeless… most of the times, families end up homeless due to not being able to afford the rent, utilities, food bills, all that. that’s why affordable housing opportunities (in this case quite affordable!) and supportive communities that look to find ways to help homeless people find productive and socially acceptable means of income are so vital to our country. no, nothing is for free, that is true. but, typically speaking, homeless people aren’t free-loaders looking for hand-outs. they are proud people just like you and I who have come across hard times and need help. there is no shame in looking for help, especially when it comes to bettering your life and the lives of those around you.
