5 Reasons To Come To The Milwaukee Museum Mile Day

This Sunday, May 4, the Milwaukee Museum Mile Celebrates its third anniversary with its Free Day on the Mile. Join us and explore culture on Milwaukee's East Side!

1) Awesome opportunity to see 5 Museums for FREE (or almost Free)

Charles Allis Art Museum, Jewish Museum Milwaukee, Museum of Wisconsin Art at Saint John's by the Lake, North Point Lighthouse and Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum will all be open from 11 to 4 PM and offering free or reduce admission (at North Point).

2) Your only chance to see "Moving Pictures"

2)Moving Pictures is a live interactive performance that imagines the stories behind the art. Join us in creating a short story from a photo, and then experience a re-telling of a story created by area elders. Inspired by the TimeSlips (www.timeslips.org) storytelling project and the elders in Milwaukee's Creative Trust, an alliance to foster life-long learning through the arts.

Each venue will have hands-on activities to enrich your Museum experience. Make a record cover at Jewish Museum Milwaukee. Fold origami at MOWA at Saint John's. Color at North Point Lighthouse. Create Samara Dragonflies at Villa Terrace.

Blow Paint Insects and Monsters at Charles Allis. Fun for kids of all ages from 2 to 92.

4) And what is an event without some food.

5) And even if the weather is bad, you can use our FREE shuttle to go to all 5 Museums!
