8 Types Of Co-Workers We All Have To Deal With

Oh, co-workers. How I loathe you all.

    1. The "I'm A Sly Secret Sucker"

This person somehow knows the secrets of every single person in the office. And they have no problem letting you know they know everyone's business. This co-worker normally has a big mouth and creates most, if not all, of the trouble in the workplace. They are also the friendliest person in the office because getting close to you is getting close to your life and if they can get details about your life, they can ruin it. They're basically the gossip hussy of the workplace.

    2. The “I Like To Make Others Look Bad”

This person is the over compensator of the office. They live in the spotlight and can normally be found sucking up to the boss. This co-worker tries their hardest to make everyone look bad. They know they're hated and they don't care. The only person blind to their evil ways is the boss. Basically, they're an emotional terrorist.

    3. The “I Want You To Think I’m Cool”

This person spends a lot of time talking about themselves because they want to be known as the cool co-worker. They want to be friends with everyone but more importantly they want everyone to want to be their friend. This co-worker is always bragging about the cool things they do outside the office and seeking attention. They never get the hint that no one actually cares about their personal life. Absolutely no one.

    4. The “I’m Naturally Better At Everything”

While this person can sometimes make you look bad they actually don't do it on purpose. This co-worker makes the best suggestions in meetings, knows how to professionally word all emails, and receives the best feedback. It's not their fault really. They're just naturally great at everything they touch as well as generally nice. It's okay to hate these people too.

    5. The “I’m So Hilarious”

This person loves to hear the sound of their own jokes. They narcissistically think they're the funniest person in the workplace and they love wasting time being the office jester. Sometimes they actually are funny but they tend to be an annoying distraction most of the time. And for some reason they never get caught goofing off when the boss is around. If you tell this person they're not funny, you're basically poking a hole in their deluded reality. That's not mean right?

    6. The “Ride On Your Coattails”

This person likes to pretend that your great ideas and results were somehow achieved with help from them. Normally this co-worker is the laziest in the office and the only reason they still have a job is because they continue to fool the boss into thinking they actually do work. This co-worker tends to love group projects and hanging around you to make it look like they are assisting in an important task. Their day goes blissfully by while you sit stressing about all the work to do. We all wish we could be this co-worker deep down.

    7. The “I Enjoy Flirting With Everyone In The Office”

This person just cannot stop flirting with anyone and everyone. They are always avoiding their job by endlessly complimenting co-workers. Workplace romances are normally a little complicated, especially when this person is romancing everyone in the office. Going into work is difficult because you know this person will be there waiting for you with a wink and a promiscuous comment. It gets old after a while.

    8. The “I’m Actually A Nice Person”

Rarely you will have a co-worker that's actually a nice person. They do their work and are genuinely kind. You don't mind this co-worker and you might even consider them a friend. In fact if you ran into this co-worker outside of the office you wouldn't try to avoid them at all costs. You might actually say hi. This person is what dreams are made of but they tend to be pretty elusive. Damn rarity!
