Disney Just Invented The Coolest Wedding Cake Ever

It's a whole new world.

In case you needed another reason to get married at Disney, here's a new one: the wizards over at Disney Enterprises just unveiled new technology for an animated wedding cake.

This "mapping projection technology," which has been in the works since 2010, creates a wrapping projection around the entire topography of the cake.

The projections are fully customizable, and can include images of the couple, slideshows and personal quotes.

But, this is Disney. So it isn't just a white cake with some projections on it...

According to Stitch Kingdom, this new interactive cake experience can detect when pieces of cake have been cut and change the images accordingly. "For example, cut out a slice where there's a simulated lake and you may instantly create a waterfall in which water is now represented as flowing down the sides of the new missing cake portion."

And props can also be involved, like a waving magic wand that makes Tinkerbelle appear, or a fighting Captain Hook that does battle with anyone holding a knife.
