Here’s Proof That Getting Your Eyebrows Done Makes A Big Difference

Sometimes you just need a pro to tackle those strays.

Maybe you're one of those people who gets their eyebrows groomed religiously, or tends to them yourself with the same diligence you afford your crush's Instagram. If so, congrats!

But maybe you're more the type who ignores your brows for weeks at a time, then grabs tweezers and plucks away until your high-school era "sperm brows" threaten to reappear. If this is you, getting your brows groomed by a trained brow professional at a salon or waxing studio could be just what you need!

If you've always wondered what it would be like to have someone else makeover your eyebrows, read on! We stopped by Benefit in San Francisco and let Jared Bailey, global brow expert for Benefit, work his magic on five of our faces.

After waxing Priya's brows, Jared defined the outer edges with pencil.

He then used two different pencils and "tiny flicks of the wrist" to fill in the brows and create a natural look.

Jared started by mapping Nicole's brows with an eye pencil.

"You have a nice natural arch already, so we need to follow that natural shape," he says. "We can clean around the edges to bring more definition to your brow."

Next, Jared filled in Nicole's brows with pencil and blended highlighter underneath with a brush.

Jared started by waxing Joel's brows to "take off some hairs from underneath."

Next, Jared shaped Joel's brows with a clear eyebrow gel. And that's it!

Sam didn't need waxing, so Jared started by mapping her brows to create a more defined shape.

Next, Jared filled in Sam's brows and highlighted them with Benefit's 3D BROWtones pencil to give them some depth.

First, Jared trimmed Mat's brows with a tiny scissor.

Next, Mat got waxed for the FIRST TIME EVER, and then touched up with tweezers.

Finally, clear eyebrow gel gave Mat's brows some lifting and holding power.
