In case you hadn't heard, Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio is the best amusement park in the world™. What's it like to work there?

1. 16 ROLLER COASTERS IN YOUR BACKYARD

Yeah, you work a lot of hours, but when you DO have time off, oh man, what to do...what to do...OH YEAH YOU'RE AT CEDAR POINT. Besides your basic access to the park, employees are also privy to special ride nights where Cedar Point will keep one roller coaster open past close so that all the employees can have some fun. And with the new Gatekeeper added this year, this brings Cedar Point to a whopping total of SIXTEEN roller coasters.

2. YOU LIVE IN AN AMUSEMENT PARK

Cedar Point offers housing for a nominal fee, with dormitories "on-point" and and "off-point" with a free shuttle to the park. You haven't experienced summer until you've fallen asleep to the sounds of clanking coasters, fireworks and happy screams.

3. THERE'S EVEN A BEACH. A GREAT ONE.

You wouldn't expect such an amazing beach in Ohio, I know. Cedar Point takes up 364-acres on a peninsula in Lake Erie, so you're surrounded by water. Along the east side of the Point is this beautiful beach. Cedar Point opened in 1870 as "America's Watering Hole" with the beach as the main attraction. That's 143 years of FUN, son.

4. CHEAP AND TASTY PARK FOOD

There are two employee cafeterias in the park where, in addition to a multitude of healthy normal options, you can also get your favorite amusement park hot dogs and burgers for much cheaper than what the park visitors pay.

5. YOU WILL LITERALLY MEET 3 MILLION PEOPLE

"Cedar Point is not responsible for any lost or damaged items please keep all hands arms and legs inside the car at all times and enjoy your ride at Cedar Point, America's rockin' roller coast RIDE ON!" You will say that to 3 MILLION PEOPLE.

6. LOUIE'S!

Louie's is the official Cedar Point employee dive bar hangout, and not just because it's literally in the employee parking lot across from the off-point dorms. Say bye to your paycheck until 2:30am every night!

8. YOU'LL MAKE SOME COOL FRIENDS

9. BIG BASH

At the end of the summer and after closing time in the park, Cedar Point throws its employees a Big Bash complete with rides and free food and lots of games and prizes. I literally just threw out my 2001 Big Bash souvenir cup last year, that's how big of a bash it was.

10. JUST THE BEST SUMMER YOU'LL EVER HAVE

Sure, you'll whine and complain every day for your entire contract about how hot it is, and how your managers are mean, and how annoying the people who go to theme parks are. But then you'll be back in college in the fall and think, damn. Nothing beats being at Cedar Point.
