#HowSafeAreWe Kennesaw State Students Ask
Activists, organizers and students from Georgia's third largest university, Kennesaw State, took to Twitter on Monday to ask, "How Safe Are We?"
After some 13 reported cases of sexual assault on campus in the past four months, students at KSU wanted to know if the university's administration was willing to take action.
As of now, the administration has made no comment.
Emails from Kennesaw State start like this...
And end like this...
Students want to know how safe they are if perpetrators are left unprosectuted and they're told they should 'always have cab money' and 'Avoid putting music headphones in both ears'.
If the reported sexual assaults were no indication, the people on Yik Yak certainly tell a tale..
Activists in Atlanta, people across the state and people across the country joined KSU students in this conversation. The administration has been more quiet.
If you share the frustration of KSU students, you can sign this petition.
