I'm Officially Jealous Of These 13 People's Wedding Gifts

I'm 100% stealing some of these ideas.

I don't know about you, but it feels like tons of people have approximately one million weddings to go to this year.

Which means they have approximately one million wedding gifts to give.

If you're looking for wedding gift ideas, you're in luck! I asked the BuzzFeed Community to share their favorite or most creative wedding gifts they received, and they didn't disappoint.

Here are some of their answers (which I will definitely be keeping in mind for when I don't want to just go off the registry):

    1. "Someone gave us a box full of sandwich bags, Saran Wrap, tinfoil, bag clips, etc. Someone else gave us a laundry basket with flour, sugar, salt, pepper, various other seasonings, etc. It was nice to have stuff to set up our pantry in our first home. That stuff adds up."

    2. "A sword. Full-on ornamental broadsword. It's now wall-mounted, and we call it the 'Kirk Family Sword.'"

    3. "Personalized our first married Christmas tree ornament."

    4. "A Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. At the time, I was a bit put off because it screamed “housewife,” and I was a career woman. But since then, we’ve moved to two other countries, and to have that book of so many traditional American recipes to bake/cook when homesick has been one of my most used possessions."

    5. "My husband and I met playing Dead by Daylight several years ago. The first time we chatted outside of that was when we played Among Us in a group, and he and I were paired up as impostors three times in a row. So when we got married, our group of online friends made us an ADORABLE two-panel wall art piece. The first panel has little Among Us characters of us, our son, and our cat that has our wedding date, aaaand the second panel has our little hambone-looking dead Among Us bodies. It says, 'til death do us part,' and then all our friends that we play games with signed it. :) I love it so much."

    6. "A friend gave us the key to his beach house to stay for a week."

    7. "My mother passed away six years before I got married. My aunt took a beautiful cross stitch she had made before I was born and made it into a pillow."

    8. "My sister has a friend who is a really good artist and paid her to paint a watercolor of the church we were getting married in and got it framed as her wedding present to us — it's really nicely and tastefully done and is such a lovely personal reminder of our wedding day!"

    9. "We were advised to add things we loved to the registry even if it was too pricey or doubtful anyone would buy it. There was this expensive, but beautiful wicker picnic basket complete with dishes, silver, tablecloth, cups, and napkins. No paper; it was all metal and fabric. Two of our friends pooled together and bought it for us. I used it so much over the years that it eventually fell apart. I miss that damn basket lol."

    10. "My SIL called it an earthquake detector. It has been in our living room for almost 28 years. I still love it."

    11. "A good friend of ours is a talented belly dancer and performed at our wedding for us. It was so amazing to just sit down and catch our breath at our reception while having this amazing performance play out in front of us. Not only was it a fun moment for our guests, but it obviously brought us the luck it was meant to — That was 15 years and a kid ago."

    12. "My cousin gave me a beautiful wooden game of poker dice. I had never heard of it. My husband and I play it every night now. Favorite gift ever."

    13. "We got a bat'leth (a Klingon weapon from Star Trek)."
