When it comes to wedding gifts, a lot of people play it safe and decide to choose something off the registry.
I totally get this! It's my go-to course of action — especially if the couple just wants cash — and it's a safe bet.
Of course, sometimes people go rogue. The happy couple might luck out like my friends, who received a portrait of themselves (and their very cute pup) as a gift...
...or they might end up with a different sort of portrait.
