This Teen Hilariously Exposed Ed Sheeran's Songwriting Process

    "Childhood song about being rebellious."

Remember the guy who exposed the Chainsmokers' music for being basic? Well he's back at it again, but this time he's taking a close look at Ed Sheeran's songwriting process.

19-year-old John Fassold just shared a new video called "How EVERY Ed Sheeran Song Is Written" where he walks us through the process of an entire fake Ed album, and it's hilariously spot-on TBH.

He starts with the album title: "-b ± √b^2 - 4ac / 2a" which is a reference to how Ed's albums are always super mathy.

Then he writes out the whole track list...

And he takes us step by step through the cornerstones of writing an Ed Sheeran hit:

"You reference body parts, drinking, and memories you have with her."

"Develop a constant drum beat that never changes, it's just the same thing."

"Now I'm singing and you can't tell if I'm serious because now I'm back to rapping..."

My personal favorite is the Oddly Specific 'Fuck You' Song: "You always put sausage on your cheese and pepperoni pizza. I never was a sausage man, NOW I'M SITTING ON THE CORNER WITH A BOTTLE OF JACK."

The whole thing is pretty perfect, so watch the full hilarious video here:
