However, I've just discovered a new joy that I never knew I needed — when celebs' parents roast their famous children and take them down a peg. That's what happened to Katy Perry when her parents, Mary and Keith, came to watch her judge on American Idol.
First, Ryan Seacrest asked what it was like to watch Katy as a judge, and her mom was like:
Then, Ryan asked Keith if Katy has always been "mouthy," and he proved to be a man of many words and said this:
Katy was quick to (literally) point the blame back at her parents, saying she got it from them...
...but Mary couldn't resist one last little dig:
But, at the end of the day, Katy got the last laugh:
