I Just Remembered This "Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants" Fact And I Don't Know If I Want A Third Movie

    Spoiler alert!

This week, Alexis Bledel went on The Tonight Show and said the words we've all been longing to hear: There might be a third Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie.

Hearing this news made me OVERJOYED, of course. I will literally watch any story about those characters. Please take all of my money.

But it also reminded me of something dark that I've been trying to erase from my brain since 2011.

If you want to avoid a Sisterhood book spoiler, now is your LAST CHANCE to turn back. Continue on about your day reveling in the joy of Alexis Bledel's exciting update!

Okay, so a little back info on the books: The original series had four books, released from 2001-2007.

Then, in 2011, author Ann Brashares wrote an adult novel called Sisterhood Everlasting, which is another sequel to the series that picks up with Bridget, Lena, Tibby, and Carmen at age 29.

In that book, Tibby loses touch with the rest of her friends, and she gives birth to a daughter named Bailey (!!!!!) with her high school love Brian. (I'm tearing up already.)

She decides to get the gang back together again for another trip to Greece, and sends them all plane tickets. Happy, fun, pants time, right???

No! Wrong! Because Tibby dies. I said it, Tibby dies in Sisterhood Everlasting and it's so damn heartbreaking.

She was diagnosed with Huntington's disease and knew she was going to die. But Lena, Bridget, and Carmen arrive in Greece and discover that Tibby had accidentally drowned.

Honestly, at the time it just made me so freaking sad and I'm getting worked up thinking about it again. But, there you have it, Tibby dies in official Sisterhood canon.

Anyway, this run-on rant all circles back to news of a new Sisterhood movie. Would they follow this devastating plot point? Or pull a Bridget Jones and just pretend like horrible things never happened?

I will obviously watch either way, but I am NOT READY for the emotional ruination if they follow the books. THE END.
