It's been 17 years since Miss Congeniality came out [insert meltdown about being old here], but the Internet is still obsessed with Miss Rhode Island's famous description of her perfect date:
According to Heather, April 25 is *supposed* to be light jacket weather. Except it's NOT anymore.
Time Magazinetalked to meteorologist Bernadette Woods Placky about whether or not Miss Rhode Island's date can still hold up, and here's what she said:
"Everything is warming overall more quickly across the country. Spring days are coming much earlier. Yes, that balance for that light jacket still absolutely exists. What’s changing is when it’s happening on the calendar. In February people had those light jackets on and no jackets at all."
Basically, light jacket weather still exists, but now the first "perfect day" happens way earlier in the year and it's impossible to know when.
Climate change aside, this year Miss Congeniality fans have been experiencing weather that has prevented them from rocking their light jackets like Heather would have wanted. Some were TOO COLD:

Because sometimes life isn't perfect on April 25, but you just have to be a part of the meme anyways.
