Well, in honor of the new year, Blake decided to poke some fun at herself by posting a Serena van der Woodsen–era throwback pic from 2007, calling it a "makeup-free selfie":
But since Blake is very obviously wearing makeup in the pic, some people were a tad confused...
...and others were mad about it:
But a lot of people in the comments defended Blake, explaining that the caption was clearly meant to be a joke...
...and the whole thing just made others lol:
