I Am So Excited For Netflix's Upcoming Teen Rom-Com "Sierra Burgess Is A Loser"

Finally, justice for Barb.

Netflix is really leaning into rom-coms and teen movies, and I for one could not be more excited.

They've just released the trailer for their latest offering, Sierra Burgess is a Loser, and it looks incredible.

It's a modern retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac, and it stars none other than our favourite Barb, Shannon Purser.

She plays the titular Sierra, who strikes up a texting relationship with hot guy Jamey and winds up catfishing him because she thinks he won't like how she looks.

Jamey is played by certified dreamboat Noah Centineo, who you might recognise from The Fosters.

He's also starring in Netflix's other upcoming teen rom-com, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, which I am also VERY excited about.

The teen cast is rounded out by Kristine Froseth as Veronica, the popular girl who Sierra pretends to be. Plus Me and Earl and the Dying Girl's RJ Cyler as Dan, Sierra's best friend.

There's also a stellar adult cast, with Lea Thompson as Sierra's mother, Alan Ruck as Sierra's father, and Chrissy Metz as Veronica's mother.

The movie drops globally on September 7.
