What Are Some Misconceptions About OCD?

It's the disorder people love to talk about without understanding what it means.

Millions of people worldwide live with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but the true nature of OCD isn't always well-represented.

Many people believe that living with OCD means being extremely tidy or concerned with hygiene.

But while some people with OCD may relate to this trait, there are many who do not, as well as a wide spectrum of other habits and symptoms that they may well possess.

Some people with OCD have repetitive behaviors or perform daily rituals, which can take many different forms.

Some have little to no control over unwanted or disturbing thoughts and thought processes.

And often, OCD is accompanied by other mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, or eating disorders.

But ultimately, everyone experiences OCD in their own personal way.
