I'm Feeling The Bern, But I'll Settle For Hillary... So Calm Down

can we change the Hillary v. Bernie narrative?

As a Bernie Sanders supporter, I’m starting to notice a lot of vitriol from Hillary Clinton supporters.

I’m seeing a lot of Pro-Hillary think pieces that make generalizations about Bernie Sanders supporters.

Apparently I hate Hillary and apparently my preference for Bernie is dividing the party, and will lead to a Republican (or Donald Trump) being elected president.

I won't speak for all Bernie Sanders supporters, because it’s patently irresponsible to make generalizations,

but rest assured: I don’t hate Hillary.

In fact, before I was familiar with Bernie Sanders, I was a hard core Hillary supporter.

Something about Hillary hasn’t sat well with me though. I can appreciate her evolving stances on social issues…

But I cannot deal with how gross her pandering to millennial voters is.

It just lends to the narrative that the real Hillary haters rely on: that she’s inauthentic, that she will say or do anything to win because she feels she “deserves” to win

While her campaign has given us some great gifs, I'm more into Bernie's focus on policy.

That being said … Hill-dog will get my vote in the general election if she gets the Democratic party's nomination. I’m aware that Bernie and Hillary line up on most policies, and that makes me super psyched to have Hillary as a backup plan!

So throughout the primary...wouldn't it be better for us to get along?

In the mean time, staunch Clinton supporters, if you want to unite the party: stop speaking for me, and start listening.
