New Words For Now Media

Media changes so often that new media has become now media. And we need new words to talk about them.

1. It's Now Media, not New Media. And we need new words to talk about it.

Forget new media. Media evolves so quickly we live in a world of now media, whatever it is and is about to be. We need new words, neologisms, to facilitate our conversations about now media. Here are just a few:

Creatical thinking. Thinking that combines critical and creative thinking into one integrated workflow process.

Duotaneous. Blending of two things, activities or places at the same time. I usually use it to describe how we blend the two worlds we now simultaneously occupy, wherever go: RL (real life) and IR (immersive reality), the world we access via our smart devices.

Ouriginal. Describes work created using original, non-original and semi-original material. It describes the grey area of mashups and media collages.

Screasel. Combines screen and easel. This is where most of us paint now.

Techst. Pronounced "text." Techst is whatever the medium we are using demands that we produce.
