Australian LGBT Marriage Rights: Two Opinions No One Wanted To Hear

Please note: their opinions are uneducated, narrow minded, appalling and circa 1900's. Reading said opinions has the ability to make you not only furious but also sad... and a little stupider for having read it.

I am sorry if this upsets you. But I just had to share.

I have read a lot and a lot (maybe too much) of Buzzfeed without once contributing but I feel like this needs to be shared... for all the wrong reasons.

I feel sick! I feel sick that people in my own country (Australia), would in modern times speak and feel this way.

I feel sick that our freedom of speech and opinion has been stretched this far with so much hatred and violence.

I feel sick that this is only a small portion of all the terrible things said on an EX-friends bigoted anti gay marriage status.

I just feel sick... and to be honest, embarrassed for our country. I promise we do not all think and feel this way.

Reading the opinions of these two men has left me with a terrible knot in my stomach. How can such uneducated words have such an affect on me?

I am straight, many of my friends are not. But I am not speaking out for them, they are comfortable in who they are. I am speaking out for these douchebags and their epic levels of stupidity.

Who will save them from their own stupidity if we do not!

Sorry, I am trying VERY hard to not speak ill of them as they have of others... but it feels sooo gooooood!

It is true that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but to wish mass genocide upon a group of people because they chose to love another human being goes far beyond having a free voice.

And to address the opinion of speaker number two who believes being a "fag" is a defect; fuck off.

What are your thoughts, freedom of speech doing its job or douchebag levels of stupidity?
