Ways That Visiting South Korea Will Ruin Your Life Upon Returning To The United States

Because reverse culture shock is definitely a thing.

Oh, South Korea! Full of rich culture and history...

Along with some amazing innovations much different from the United States...

But if you've ever visited the small peninsula of a country, you know that there is much more to come out of Korea than just K-Pop.

Upon returning home, you'll begin to question a lot of things about your everyday life.

You will constantly stop to ask yourself, "What time zone is this person in?" before texting someone because you've adjusted to living in such a significant time difference.

You'll constantly ask yourself, "Why do we tip waiters and waitresses?"

And, "Why is sales tax not already included in the price?"

Or, "Why don't we have bells on our tables at restaurants?"

You'll wonder why only the cheerleaders have those massive flags in the stands of sporting events.

Then realize it's because sports are a REALLY big deal in Korea.

You're confused as to why you get tired at a local club around 1:30 a.m. when you used to party in Gangnam or Hongdae until 5:30 a.m.

    Three words: Open. Container. Policy.

Speaking of drinking and Soju, that stuff is definitely not ₩ 1,500 (~ $1.50) in the States.

Virtual communication will never be the same for you after using all the adorable emoticons in Kakao Talk.

Chances are, house keys annoy you now.

You probably bow to everyone now - even if you don't notice it.

You probably accept everything with two hands too.

But nothing could prepare you for the worst of all that you miss from Korea...

AND ALL THAT GLORIOUS KOREAN STREET FOOD.

Nothing will ever be the same...
