    1. A jar of O'Keeffe's hand cream — which has over 7,000 five-star reviews BTW — to soothe and soften rough cracks and ultra parched patches.

    amazon.com

Promising review: “Have always had problem with cracking skin on my fingers during the summer and fall when I'm working out in the garden almost every day. The constant washing dries up my skin and usually, I get cracks around my fingertips. I've used other moisturizers that eventually work if I'm constantly applying throughout the day and night. Then I tried O'Keeffe's and found that just applying it at night before I go to bed, it healed my hands in half the time that it took with other moisturizers. Also, after it healed, using it every night prevented my skin from drying out and no more cracked fingertips.” —norm_c

Get it from Amazon for $5.65+ (available in packs of up to 12).

    2. CeraVe moisturizing cream because it'll give you all-day moisture that almost feels like it's breathing new life into your skin. Some reviewers say that the cream has healed dry, red skin over time.

    amazon.com

Promising review: “I LOVE this product. I was extremely scared to order it because I'm picky and fickle with my skincare. I have combination skin, which is very sensitive and acne-prone. It works amazingly well; I only apply it once a day and the moisture it gives me lasts sooo long. It doesn't break me out and feels soft, velvety, and absorbs quick. I had dry patches from using acne medication and this healed them in three days, which I wasn't able to do with any other moisturizer. Bonus: the container is HUGE (a real bang for your buck) and a little goes a long way, so use only A TINY bit spread along your whole face evenly.” —kami

Get it from Amazon for $15.06.

    3. A tube of First Aid Beauty coconut skin moisturizer, which literally feels (and smells) like a refreshing coconut water bomb has been dropped on your face. It's actually made with coconut water to hydrate your skin and quinoa protein to protect your skin.

    Sephora

Sephora was handing out tiny samples of First Aid Beauty products and I snagged a couple of packets as I was heading to catch my train. I put the samples on my dresser with my other skincare products...and then promptly forgot about them — until my recent trip to the Poconos, that is. I didn’t want to pack my usual bottle of moisturizer because I thought it would take up too much room, so I stuffed the little packets of this FAB moisturizer in my bag instead — any moisturizer would do for the weekend. While up in the Poconos with the dry, cold air, my normally oily skin got DRY after just the first night. Like, flaking-off-in-sheets dry. I applied this moisturizer under my makeup and it felt super creamy and instantly smoothed my skin, but even though I didn’t expect it to, it totally hydrated my face all day. I loved it so much that I went to Sephora and bought the full-sized bottle. Happy to have a new skincare favorite!

Get it from Sephora for $28.

    4. Some Glossier Balm Dotcom Universal Skin Salve so you can hydrate your lips and any other small problem areas on the go. Pop this in your back pocket and you'll never again have to go through the day coping with that dry, itchy feeling!

    Glossier

Promising review: “Balm dotcom is the lip balm I’ve been looking for! It’s the only one that has been able to smooth my lips no matter the conditions. My lips get really dry in the winter and this always keeps them nice and hydrated. When I first apply the mango flavor, it has a little bit of a plumping effect that I love. The berry flavor has a gorgeous color but the scent isn’t my favorite, but it’s acceptable and I’ll continue to use it.” —HB

Get it from Glossier for $12 (available in eight flavors, including an unflavored, un-tinted option).

    5. Or Almay butter kiss lipsticks for an ~extra~ dose of hydrating plus a pop of color. They're formulated with shea butter and coconut oil, which are known for their smoothing and moisturizing properties.

    Amazon

Promising review: “I love this lipstick so much. I have these Almay Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipsticks in several different colors, and they're the only lipsticks where I have ever finished a whole tube and bought the same one again. I couldn't find it at my local store so I had to come to Amazon! I love the colors — very sheer but just enough color so it's easy to apply on the go, and it lasts pretty long. But my favorite part is how it makes my lips feel. I used to be totally addicted to lip gloss/C.O. Bigelow because my lips always felt so dry, but since using the Almay lipsticks, I almost never use gloss at all. These might be the one thing I'd bring if I were stuck on a desert island. I love them that much!” —rlynd

Get it from Amazon for $4.25+ (available in 12 shades).

    6. A bottle of the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser that lets you remove even the most stubborn traces of makeup without leaving you with that itchy, tight, pulling feeling.

    Glossier

Promising review: “This cleanser has changed my skin texture from dry and tight to normal and soft, it's very gentle but it gets rid of my makeup with only one to two pumps. I personally don't wear full faces of makeup, but it does well for getting rid of mascara, brow stuff, blush, etc. It smells great, it's hydrating, and it has a wonderful texture. It does run out within about two to three months if you use it daily and nightly, and I'm on my second bottle. Overall this product is amazing and I highly recommend you purchase it.” —MeiMei

Get it from Glossier for $9–$18 (available in 2 oz. and 6 oz. bottles).

    7. This set of Dermal Korea collagen sheet masks because they'll soothe even the tiniest dry patches so you can walk into winter with a plump-looking complexion.

    amazon.com

Promising review: “These masks are very refreshing and hydrating. My skin is a combination of oily and dry. In the winter, it gets really dry and patchy around my eyes, cheeks, and mouth areas. I've been using them since late fall (once a week) and these masks are helping me combat the dryness. I haven't had any dry patches on my face once this winter! I use a moisturizing cleanser, leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes, put rosehip oil on to seal in the moisture, and my skin is happy and quenched! I do this at night and in the morning, I just use water on my face in the shower.” —Mama bear

Get a pack of 16 from Amazon for $9.99.

    8. A bottle of Radha rosehip oil — it's known for its restorative and brightening properties, which can help combat those dry spots (and breakouts BECAUSE OF those dry spots) that keep coming back.

    amazon.com

Promising review: “I was so skeptical when adding this item to my cart. I have struggled with rosacea for most of my adult life and have tried every over the counter cream and pill. Recently, I have had to deal with extremely dry skin due to some medication that I am on. When I bought this rosehip oil, it was a last-ditch effort to get some sort of semblance of my normal skin back. The first night I applied it I was not expecting much, in fact, I was prepared to see no sort of results at all. WELL, imagine my surprise the next morning when the redness on my face was the faintest it has ever been in yearsssss. Y'all I was floored. This stuff really works and I couldn't believe it. I have applied it regularly for the past few weeks, and most of my redness has cleared up and my skin looks better than it has in years. This oil is worth the buy, I promise! It changed my skin’s life!” —Pat V.

Get it from Amazon for $14.95.

    9. Cuccio cuticle oil because it'll *finally* put an end to any crusty, dry skin around your fingernails. It uses honey and lactic acid from milk to nourish the surrounding skin and prevent peeling.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: “This is a great product! My cuticles and skin on the sides of my fingers tend to get extremely dry and peel. I wash my hands a lot at work and this oil is amazing! I used it several times throughout the day on the first and second day I received it, and I saw a huge difference in moisturizing my cuticles and healing the dry peeling skin on my fingers. It conditions skin very nicely and my hands are looking great!” —Tracy Davis

Get it from Amazon for $7.90 (available in milk and honey and pomegranate and fig scents).

    10. A bottle of Aveeno body wash for hydrated skin while you shower. It contains oatmeal to nourish dry skin and help replenish its natural moisture.

    instagram.com

Promising review: “I've tried lots of body washes in an effort to relieve rashes, itching, and overall dry skin related to multiple allergies. If only I had tried Aveeno when it was first recommended, I would have spared myself much misery, multiple doctor visits, and a bag of useless prescription creams. After the first use, my itching was gone; within three uses, the rashes had disappeared. For the first time in 40 years of pricey daily lotions and oils, my skin doesn't look dry at the end of the day. This body wash is AWESOME!” —Vulnavia

Get it from Amazon for $6.97.

    11. The Sake high moisture skin lotion toner because — hear me out — the acidic formula actually helps balance your skin's natural barrier and protects it from moisture loss. Toner might sound like the last thing your dry skin needs, but you just might thank yourself for giving it a shot.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: “This stuff is amazing! I have severely dry skin. I drink a lot of water and I pretty much bathe in lotions but no matter what I do I always feel tight, dry, and raw. I'd been upgrading my skincare routine when my kids dumped out an entire brand new bottle of hydrating toner which was pretty expensive. I searched hydrating toner on Amazon hoping to temporarily replace my original toner until the end of the week and found this one. First off, holy cow! I didn't realize it was such a huge bottle. It's very hydrating. With three applications I get a slightly tacky/sticky feeling which I don't normally get with other hydrating toners. Of course, my skin absorbs it and the feeling is gone. My skin is brighter, softer, smooth. No flaking, no cluster dry skin bumps, just beautiful smooth skin. For $15 which is a steal I am ecstatic and will definitely continue to buy.” —Brian Alvarado

Get it from Amazon for $12.85.

    12. A bottle of Ancient Greek Remedy organic foot cream to relieve even the driest, most calloused feet. The six natural, raw oils in this baby work hard so you don't have to.

    amazon.com

The foot cream is formulated with extra virgin olive oil, sweet almond oil, grape seed oil, lavender essential oil, vitamin E, and plant-based glyceral stearate.

Promising review: “10 stars! You can see from the photos how this improved the appearance of my feet to the point where I feel confident enough to wear sandals. That's just the appearance, but you can tell how the balm softened the skin and soothed it. I've used other treatments (including prescription creams and ointments) that helped the appearance of my feet, but they didn't soften or soothe the skin. It soaks into the skin after a very short period and isn't oily or staining. I tend to lean on my left elbow when I write so it's always rough and needs more moisture. I put a little of the balm there and it's so much softer.” —TM Conway

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

    13. Eucerin daily protection lotion with SPF 30 because it provides 24-hour hydration without leaving your face feeling greasy. In other words, you can protect your skin from painful cracking/breakouts and the sun's harsh rays with just one product.

    Amazon

Promising review: “Okay Imma be real with y'all. I’ve been a swimmer for 10 years and have been exposed to chlorine for as long as I can remember. While I was a swimmer and after, I suffered from really uncomfortable, dry skin. After I washed my face, if I didn’t put on moisturizer it was horrible and my face looked drier than the Sahara Desert. I felt like I’ve gone through so many lotions and some were alright and others were horrible, but I was just not in love with any — until my doctor recommended this product. This lotion is so smooth, doesn’t have that white appearance when you rub it into your skin, is sensitive enough that it doesn’t make me break out, and is heavy-duty enough to give me proper moisturizing. If I can recommend any moisturizer it would be this one. AND IT'S AFFORDABLE. LOVE LOVE LOVE.” —EA

Get it from Amazon for $7.58.

    14. A bottle of Cosmedica pure hyaluronic acid serum if dry skin is just *one* of your primary skin concerns. With regular use, hyaluronic acid is known for improving skin texture, brightness, and moisture.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

It can also help minimize fine lines. Reviewers recommend using just a few small drops of the serum on your skin — a little goes a long way!

Promising review: “This product goes on easy and goes straight in. No residue feeling. It makes my skin feel and look firmer. I am outside a lot and my skin is exposed to the elements often. This is the best product I have used for balancing out my combination skin. I find it helps control my oily patches and smoothes my dry spots. This is so much better than any cream or gel product I have ever used. It does not have a smell either, which is nice. I'm 44 and have not had any treatments or procedures on my face and people think I have, so if that isn't a testament to this product, I don't know what is.” —Barmaneil

Get it from Amazon for $10.95+ (available in 1-oz., 2-oz., and 4-oz. bottles).

    15. Some 24k gold under-eye patches that'll leave your eye area feeling smooth and rejuvenated thanks to its cooling hydrating gel formula. Your eye area is one of the most sensitive parts of your face, after all, so don't forget to treat it to something worthwhile!

    amazon.com

Promising review: “I've seen my wife using these and have seen the result. It works! So I started using it too. I like that the pads stick to the skin well, because some times I put in on in the morning while getting ready for work. It takes the puffiness away, makes me look less tired. Feels moist and hydrated all day. I would definitely recommend!” —ncl289

Get a pack of 24 from Amazon for $12.99.

    17. Revlon Colorstay foundation for normal/dry skin so you can get your desired, flawless coverage even if your skin's been having a rather rough week.

    instagram.com

Promising review: “I really like this foundation. I have dry and very fair skin, so I have a difficult time finding a foundation that doesn't wash me out or dry out my skin. This foundation feels like a dream — it is very light but provides good coverage, and doesn't make me look dewy while still providing moisture. This color was slightly darker, or really more pink, than my undertones call for. But, I've continued to use it because it doesn't look unnatural.” —Nia Hendricks

Get it from Amazon for $7.59 (available in 12 shades).

    18. Or a Maybelline BB cream formulated to leave you with a dewy finish because nothing'll grind your gears like dry patches poking through your otherwise flawless complexion. If you don't want to wear foundation, this BB cream adds a little tint while nourishing your skin.

    Amazon

Promising reviews: “My face is prone to breakouts when I wear foundation but this one is lightweight and doesn't clog my pores at all, even when working outside, hot and perspiring. It's balanced for all skin types (mine is combo) and can be worn all day without turning into a mess on oily skin, and it provides some moisture for dry areas, too. The coverage is excellent but not at all heavy, the color doesn't turn, and it just feels really good on my skin. It gives me none of the foundation-sensation. It feels lightweight and clean. After trying dozens of different foundations, I had given it up on even trying another foundation until I read about this one in a magazine. I have finally found the perfect product for me and glad I gave it a try!” —WindRider

“I have dry, sensitive skin. This BB cream is the best I've used, and I've tried many others more expensive than this. It has light to medium coverage, lets a few of my freckles show through, doesn't feel greasy or sticky or anything like that. It does a great job of keeping me from burning.” —Nacho Libra

Get it from Amazon for $6.28+ (available in light/medium, medium, and medium/deep).

    19. And a pack of Aveeno positively radiant makeup wipes to make sure you end the day on a smoother, softer note — no matter what you applied during the day.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

The wipes are formulated with soy extract, which is rich in moisture.

Promising review: “These makeup remover wipes are great! I was able to successfully remove all my makeup with one wipe, even my waterproof mascara. It doesn't dry out my skin like I've experienced with other brands, and it has a nice, gentle scent. My skin feels soft after removing my makeup, which is a plus!
