Pick a supporting actor to play the witty best friend

What's going to cause a rift between the couple during the third act?

Your rom-com job would be the very fancy role of a gallery owner – you’d know what’s amazing and what’s mediocre, and wouldn’t be afraid to tell people. You would meet your soulmate in the first act of the movie, even if it wasn't until the second or third that you’d truly confess your feelings to them.

Most people don’t know many architects IRL, but the rom-com world is full of them! . You’d have a loft apartment and it’d be full of drawings that your love interest would pick up and say “hey...these are...amazing.” There would be a conflict at work when a big corporation would want a serious-looking building, when you’d want to give it _heart_.

Architect

You’d be a hotshot magazine editor of somewhere called “Stiletto” or “”A la mode” and have an assistant who always has to pick up your very specific coffee order. You’d consider yourself too busy for romance, until a fancy magazine party leads you to meet someone who’s perfect for you.

Rom-coms love a good bookstore meet-cute, and your career would put you in the perfect position for that! You’d wear a lot of cardigans and develop a rapport with a regular customer who you have a crush on but is engaged. Until one day when they visit and the ring is no longer on their finger.

You’d be the best wedding planner in town but your friends and family would always be asking when _your_ wedding would be, and when you last went on a date. Next thing you know, a couple who probably shouldn’t be getting married (they’re just not compatible!) request your wedding planning services, and romance ensues!

You’ll be a budding reporter desperate to sink your teeth into a gritty story – but wait, your boss insists you have to do an article assignment of their choice before you can write what you want! What will happen when you meet the person you’re writing about? (Spoiler: love).
