The Mitchells vs. the Machines movie has likely come across your screen during a scroll session on Netflix.
I encourage you not to sleep on it just because it's animated. The hilarious movie follows a quirky family that has to save the planet from a robot apocalypse. (Think Siri and all of her homies.)
If this came out in theaters, I'd cut in front of all the mini humans because this flick is truly for everyone. Here are 19 reasons it's more than just a movie for kids.
.The Mitchells are textbook underdogs, and anyone can relate to that.
.Monchi is an American hero and icon.
.Aaron is all of us in front of someone we really like...
....or while critiquing something that doesn't match the Yelp reviews.
.Katie and Jade are giving us all of the new-relationship feels.
.Gen Z'ers and millennials know all too well that disappointment when a parent doesn't support your college aspirations.
.Parents are insufferably embarrassing no matter how old you are.
.It's a going-off-to-college journey for the books.
.Three words: "daddy-daughter duet."
.How many kids today know the art of VHS home videos anyway?
.The Poseys are cringeworthy to adults who know their life has to be a social media facade.
.There's a lesson or two about valuing technology over human interactions and connections.
.I nearly spit out my wine every time Monchi struck with kisses.
.Anyone not understanding your passions is an ageless buzzkill.
.Only moms can understand the total badass Linda becomes when Aaron is captured.
.Terrible family pictures are a universal love language.
.Did I mention that Monchi is a legend?
.Drivers of all levels can appreciate the Rick Mitchell Special.
.And finally, you'll have a newfound love for the odd apples in your family tree.
